A Cask of Amontillado

While reading the short, there came a great feeling of disappointment. Fortunato's so-called friend, Montressor, betrayed him in revenge for a little insult. Even though, Fortunato still had a glimmer of hope that Montressor is still his friend, that all of what has been done was a joke.

Montressor's sick, twisted mind planned a very meticulous revenge for what little has been done to him by Fortunato. Montressor entrapped Fortunato in a niche in the catacombs inside his own house(under it actually).

Though praying upon Fortunato's weakness, drunkenness, Fortunato did not die of this. He died of a betrayal that his close friend had put him through.

I sincerely hope that no one would ever bury a friend under his house.
