Four Pieces of Tinder

wala talagang nakagets nung last post ko, sa ibaba. anyways, wala eto bagong post.

once upon a time, a poor family had a tinder box that contained four pcs of tinder.

the first tinder was burned to cook food

the second was to light up the night

the third was used to keep the fire burning through the whole entire night for warmth.

the fourth was undecided...
it can be a back up in case the others burn out. the family put it inside the tinder box.

hours later, a man, a poor-looking man was walking through the drizzling, snowy path. He was finding something to burn for the other's who had no home, but to no avail. He came from door to door but they shunned him.

Then he came to that poor family's home, he fund the inside of the house to be not welcoming, but he was welcomed by gentle faces. He asked for a tiny piece of tinder.They gave him the last piece of tinder and the tinder box that contained it.


The next day, all tinder gone, the family was worrying about what to do, after all, they gave their last piece to the man. They came out of the rickety doors of the house and to their surprise, a tinder box was there. They opened it and it contained... 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10, no not tinder, gold pieces.

The family started a business and became successful. they had a lot of money, bought a big house, and everything needed. still, they had a lot of spare cash.

One night, a cold, snowy night, a very old man, poor to the point that he was skin and bones. he asked door to door for a little scrap of food. he approached the family's house. he looked inside, it was big, nice and inviting, the family approached him and, in a not so inviting way, drove him off.

The family, after this, took a hit at business. they bankrupted after a few weeks. they sold everything and after a few months, they were back to their old rickety house, again. but now without a tinder box.

a day after that, a tinder box was found at the doorstep of that rickety house. it contained, 4 pieces of tinder.
