I hate this scenario. I cannot seem to find any credible explanation to why people put up busy signs.

Maybe they put them there bacause...

*they went out or went to do something of urgency. But there is the "Not at my Desk" sign.

*they simply do not want to be disturbed. But why not go invisible, or just sign out if you want nobody to bother you.

Busy should never - ever - ever be an excuse to prevent others from talking or conversing with you.
